Description


Curly cabbage that doesn't form a head. It's delicious served with sauce and melted cheese or pureed  as is or mixed-in with mashed potatoes. Kale can be cooked in water or steamed for 20-30 minutes, braised in a casserole, stuffed or cooked in a Chinese stir-fry. Store kale leaves in a perforated bag in the refrigerator. To add a bite to salads, kale can be added onced chopped. It gives flavor to soups and stews. Blanching before using will reduce it's strong taste. A popular way of using kale is making kale chips.
